Thermador MD30WS
Thermador does not sell the MD30WS on a product page of its own. Its MD24WS use-and-care manual covers it, though, with the note “Also for: MD30WS”, and that tells us the 30-inch drawer has the narrower unit’s touch-to-open design along with Sensor Cook, CookSmart programs and Home Connect Wi-Fi, set into a wider cabinet opening.
Shared mechanics mean shared wear. Glide rails and the drive motor are the parts that age, and a drawer that no longer rolls evenly on both sides binds or fails to seat, which keeps the door switch from starting the microwave. At 30 inches the drawer front is wider, so uneven rolling is easier to see.
Condensation reaches the keypad on these just as on other Thermador built-in microwaves. We check the glides for alignment on both sides first, and the touch panel after.
Thermador's MD24WS manual explicitly covers it, so the drawer, Sensor Cook, CookSmart and Wi-Fi platform match. That is why the same checks and, generally, the same wear parts apply.
It can be. Uneven rolling suggests a misaligned or worn glide, and a drawer that does not seat fully keeps the door switch from starting the cycle. Better to have it corrected soon.
Check the data plate and your purchase paperwork. Because this model has no product page of its own, confirming the exact label helps us order the right glide or motor.
