Shell, Dow and the Pemex refinery mark Deer Park's northern boundary, with the Ship Channel on one side and La Porte on the other. Around 9,000 homes fill the city, and many belong to families who settled here decades ago.
What turns up in Deer Park homes, and how that affects a Thermador repair in this area.
Only four houses remained in 1922, some thirty years after a town site was platted beside a railway station. Shell opened its refinery in 1928, wartime plants followed, and voters formed the city in December 1948. About 5,000 people lived here by 1960, and most existing houses were built from then on.
Deer Park treats water itself. It buys untreated Trinity River supply from Houston, receives it via the Coastal Water Authority system, and runs it through a municipal surface plant with a laboratory on site, about 1.5 billion gallons yearly. Three wells stand ready as backup.
Flooding rain defines the risk: Allison dumped between 15 and 30 inches regionwide during 2001, and Harvey brought 30 to 50 in 2017. January 2023 added an EF3 tornado that tore through Pasadena and kept going into Deer Park, leaving roof damage and extended blackouts.
In family houses like these we mostly work on Thermador dishwashers under granite or laminate counters, ranges and rangetops, and wall ovens in remodeled kitchens. Column refrigeration is also on our list wherever the whole room has been updated.
Deer Park is a short run for our southeast crews, via SH 225 or Beltway 8, and a visit inside a day or two is common. When someone in the house works rotating plant shifts, name the hours that are off limits. We would sooner book mid-afternoon than ring the bell after a night turn.
People with a long-held kitchen ask whether an aging Thermador range or oven still deserves the money. That turns on the part. An igniter, door switch or oven sensor is normally worth replacing, but a major control board on a unit well past its prime calls for a frank talk. You hear our opinion and see a quote on paper before work begins, and the decision stays with you. If you do replace the appliance, we can tell you which measurements to take.
Phone in the morning and give the nearest cross street. Deer Park lies on routes we cover regularly, so a visit within a day or two is typical, and we call with an arrival window before leaving.
Often it is not. Grease in the burner port, a wet cap or a tired igniter usually explains it. We test them in that order and quote any part before replacing it.
Call within 30 days. Our labor is guaranteed for that period, so we come back and fix it. Parts have manufacturer coverage of their own, which we describe when we quote.
Request a visit online in about a minute or phone our coordinators. Close-in neighborhoods often see a same-day slot; the outer counties usually get the next day across Houston.
