HI appears on the LED display of an under-counter refrigerator, wine or combination unit, such as the T24UR, T24UW or T24UC series. It is a high-temperature alarm: the inside is warmer than it should be. The guide names frequent opening, covered ventilation, a large amount of warm product, a hot room and a door or drawer gasket that is not sealing as reasons.
1. Keep the door or drawer closed so the unit can recover. 2. Clear anything blocking the ventilation openings. 3. Let newly added warm items cool, and avoid adding a large batch at once. 4. Look along the gasket for gaps or folds. 5. Press ALARM once to deactivate the tone. Call us if HI returns.
It is the high-temperature alarm. The inside has gotten warmer than the set point, and the guide lists common reasons such as covered vents, a warm load, a hot room or a gasket that is not sealing.
Press ALARM once to deactivate it, as the guide says. That only silences the warning, so you should still clear the vents and check the gasket so the temperature can come back down.
Yes. A hot room, or a unit built in with its ventilation openings covered, makes it harder to hold temperature. Make sure air can move freely around the front, and tell us if the room is unusually warm.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
