On legacy Thermador HGSW wall hoods with mechanical push buttons, a flashing LED D is not an error. After 40 hours of use it reminds you the grease filter needs cleaning. After cleaning, press button A for about 3 seconds until the signal beeps to reset the reminder. Reset the reminder this way. The reminder then starts over.
1. Switch the hood off and let it cool. 2. Remove and clean the grease filter. 3. Reinstall it. 4. Hold button A for about 3 seconds until you hear the beep. If LED D keeps flashing afterward, call us.
No. It is a reminder, after 40 hours of use, that the grease filter is saturated and needs cleaning. Cleaning the filter, then resetting, is all it asks of you.
After cleaning the filter, press button A for about 3 seconds until the signal beeps. Keep the button down until you hear it; a quick tap will not reset the reminder. Then check that LED D stays off.
No. The reminder described here is for legacy HGSW wall hoods; newer hoods use other indicators. The source covers only the HGSW model, so we do not apply this to other hoods without checking the manual.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
