Thermador PH36GWS
The warming lamp on the PH36GWS is what sets it apart from the other 36″ Thermador wall hoods: it keeps plated food warm under the canopy while the range is still in use. That makes it a popular choice for a family kitchen with a pro-style range, and also means calls often start with an unlit lamp rather than a fan problem.
We test the lamp circuit and switch first, then the four fan speeds with the damper open. The hood is 27″ deep, deeper than the 24″ PH36HWS, so we check that the range below sits within the required 30″ clearance and that the canopy is level. Baffle filters need regular washing, and the reminder should go out after cleaning.
If the Wi-Fi link or Hood Sync with an induction cooktop is not working, we re-pair it before suspecting hardware. Parts are quoted in writing before we proceed.
Sometimes. We check the lamp, its socket and the switch circuit, because the lamp holder can be damaged by heat. We tell you what is needed and the price before any replacement.
They are both 36" wall hoods with baffle filters, but the PH36GWS lists a heat lamp, Wi-Fi and a 27" depth. We confirm the full model number to order the right parts.
Grease on the wheel or a damper that doesn't open fully are common reasons. We check both and the duct before replacing the motor. A written quote comes first.
