Thermador PH60GWS
At close to five feet across, the PH60GWS is one of the largest wall hoods Thermador makes, and it is usually found over a 60″ range or a range with a separate griddle section in a big family or entertaining kitchen. Everything about service is scaled up: more filters, more lights, a longer duct and a much greater demand for replacement air.
We begin with the damper and the duct, because a 59 15/16″ hood that draws against a long run sounds loud without clearing the smoke. Then we test the warming lamp, which on a hood this wide is easy to forget until it is needed, followed by every baffle filter and the four fan speeds.
We also verify the Wi-Fi connection and Hood Sync pairing if you use an induction cooktop, check the clearance of 30″ above the cooking surface, and give you a written price before replacing any part.
With a long duct, a stuck damper or dirty baffle filters, a big hood cannot reach full airflow. We test each in turn before suggesting any motor replacement.
Usually, yes. We test each section and replace only what failed, so you are not paying for the whole assembly when only one part is the cause.
Service depends on how it was wired during installation. We check the supply and connections safely, and tell you if an electrician is needed for anything beyond the hood.
