Thermador VCIN60GWT
A 60-inch integrated hood is a big piece of the kitchen: 57 3/4 inches of stainless steel built into the cabinetry above a wide range or a long cooktop run. The VCIN60GWT is a Professional-series model with a ducted run, so every service visit starts at the damper and the duct, not at the control panel. If the damper hangs partway, the blower works against a half-closed door and the noise and weak draw follow.
The controls mix illuminated buttons with touch, and there is no boost speed, which means the four fan speeds do all the work. When a customer says the hood feels weak, we check the washable baffle filters for baked-on grease, then the damper travel, then the speed response at each setting.
With only 22 inches of depth and 12 13/16 inches of height, access to the blower is tight, so we plan the visit around lowering the hood body safely.
The reminder runs on a timer and has to be cleared from the control after cleaning. If it returns right away or the buttons will not accept the reset, the control board is the next thing we test.
Grease on the baffles and a damper that does not open fully both load the blower. We clean first, then check damper movement and the blower for wobble before touching anything else.
Often yes. Filters, light and damper are reachable from below. If the blower or board needs work, we may lower the body, which is why we confirm the mounting before we start.
