A warning appears on an older built-in bottom freezer from the T30IB800 and T30BB810 era, and none of the buttons respond. The manual explains that one door is not closed properly or has been open too long. Until you close the door and press the alarm button, the controls stay locked, which can look like a dead panel when it is simply waiting.
1. Look at both doors and push each one fully closed. 2. Remove anything holding a door open, such as a tray, bag or bottle. 3. Press the alarm button once. 4. Check that the buttons respond again. If the warning returns while the doors are shut, call us.
The manual says the buttons stay locked while the door warning is showing. Close the door properly and press the alarm button, and the controls should return to normal.
Something may be keeping it from seating, or the seal may be catching. Push the door shut again and look along the gasket for folds. If it persists, we can check the door switch and seal.
No. This is a door warning. It only says a door is open or not closed correctly. If the food feels warm as well, tell us, because that needs a separate check.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
