Thermador T36IB900SP
Thermador slotted the T36IB900SP into the line of 36-inch bottom freezers for custom panels, after the T36IB800SP and before the T36IB905SP, and it now lists the model as discontinued while keeping a service page online. One fresh-food door sits over a pull-out freezer drawer, and both wear panels that match the cabinets.
The drawer draws most of our attention on this layout. When it does not close square, humid air gets in, frost builds on the walls, and the ice maker slows or stops. Thermador’s troubleshooting also lists an ice bin that is not seated properly as a reason for no ice, so that is a quick first test. After the drawer, we compare the two sections: warm food with a cold freezer sends us toward airflow rather than the sealed system.
Thermador names an ice bin that is not seated correctly as one reason ice stops. Push it fully home, close the drawer, and allow a few hours for new ice to appear.
The opening for current models is still 84 by 36 inches. Before ordering, compare panel size and the water hookup with the installation guide for the new unit.
Warm, damp air entering where the drawer fails to seal. Straightening the drawer front and replacing a worn gasket normally ends it, and we then clear the old frost from the walls.
