A 42″ opening is an unusual size, found over a 36″ range with extra width for wall space or over a 40″-class cooktop, so the VCIN42GWS tends to be in carefully planned kitchens. Its 22″ depth gives the baffle filters room to work, and its height of 12 13/16″ is what a cabinet maker has to allow for.
We start by checking that the insert is mounted square and not resting on the surround. After that the damper is tested, the duct is traced, and the baffle filters are removed one by one to see whether grease has passed beyond them. The four speeds, the quiet low setting and automatic mode follow.
If Wi-Fi or Hood Sync with an induction cooktop does not respond, we pair it again. Thermador names the VCIN42GWT as the successor, so we confirm the label before any part order. Quotes are written, and work carries our 30-day warranty.
