F1 or F6 on the induction side of Thermador Pro Harmony PRD...WIGU, PRI and Masterpiece MRI304DL ranges means a cooking zone has overheated and switched itself off to protect the work surface. It often comes from an empty or warped pan left on the zone. Other Thermador generations use F1 and F6 for different problems.
1. Take the pan off the zone and turn the zone off. 2. Let the glass cool. 3. Check that the pan base is flat and was not empty. 4. Touch a control to clear the message and try a lower setting. If it recurs with normal cookware, call us.
Not by itself. The manufacturer text describes a protective shutoff to guard the work surface, which can follow ordinary misuse such as heating an empty pan.
Yes. An empty, thin or warped pan can overheat the zone quickly. Try a different pan with some food or liquid in it before assuming a repair is needed.
If the message appears with ordinary cookware and moderate settings, or keeps returning after the glass cools, call us so we can check the zone.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
