Two 4.5 cu ft cavities, each with the same 13-mode cooking system, make up the ME302WS, a 30-inch Masterpiece double wall oven. Between them they pull 8,800W from a 240/208V, 40A circuit. One control board and one Wi-Fi module serve both ovens, so our first question on a service call is whether the complaint involves one oven or both.
When just one cavity is the problem, the lower oven heating unevenly beside the upper for instance, we expect to find a worn element or fan in that cavity. When both quit together, our attention shifts to the shared board.
Only the upper oven carries the meat probe, so any probe complaint belongs there. The two doors have their own SoftClose hinges and their own 2-Hour Self-Clean, which means lock or hinge trouble normally stays with the door that is acting up.
Only upstairs. Thermador's spec sheet places the Single-Point Temperature Meat Probe in the primary cavity, and the lower cavity has none, so probe complaints always belong to the upper oven.
8,800 watts across both cavities, supplied by a dedicated 240/208V, 40A circuit according to Thermador's installation spec. That is worth comparing with the breaker and wiring if remodeling is planned.
Not usually. Each cavity has its own lock and clean cycle, so we start with the one that is stuck and then confirm that the other one is working properly before we leave.
