Thermador T36IR100SP
The 36-inch refrigerator column is the widest of the Freedom fresh-food columns, a full three feet of produce and drinks with no freezer attached. As the T36IR100SP lists it, the model is on the current catalog, and the details that matter for service are its size and the hands-free feature.
A door this wide is slow to swing, so the opening assist does a lot of work. When the assist hesitates, we look at the sensor, the drive motor and the weight of the panel. When one side of the cabinet is warm, we look at the airflow and the fan, since a wider cabinet moves cold air a longer distance.
The aerial lighting, SuperCool function and Wi-Fi alerts are the other items owners notice, and we test each. If the unit is paired with a freezer column, we also check that both doors sit level with each other.
It has more air to move, so fans and vents matter. We test airflow across the width and check for blocked vents. Cold air has farther to travel across 36 inches.
A dirty sensor, a heavy panel or a worn drive can slow it down. We test each before replacing parts. Wiping the sensor window is often the first fix.
We can confirm the alerts are enabled and the unit is online, so you receive temperature notifications when you travel. Roaming outside the home network does not affect cooling.
