The display on a TCM24TS or TCM24PS asks you to refill with still water or remove the filter. Why does it say still water?

Carbonated water in the tank is one of the reasons listed in the manual. Use fresh tap water instead, since bubbles can confuse the water level detection.

What does dipping the filter do?
