If an older Thermador C, CM or CJ oven shows F24, one touch key appears stuck. The Care and Use manuals print it as F-24 and blame close contact with the panel for more than 60 seconds, such as someone leaning on the controls or items hanging in front of them. If nothing is touching the panel, the service document points to the display board and touch panel connections.
1. Move anything away from the control panel, including towels, magnets and leaning hands. 2. Wipe the glass dry. 3. Touch OFF or switch power off at the breaker, wait three minutes, and restore it. 4. If F24 still appears with the panel clear, call us.
The manuals say more than 60 seconds of close contact with the control panel. A quick touch will not trigger it, but a hanging dish towel or a leaning person can.
Then the stuck key is electrical. The service table sends the technician to the display board and touch panel connections first, then the boards. That needs inspection.
It is rated low severity, but a key the control believes is pressed can block normal input. If the oven will not respond to other keys, call us.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
