Thermador T18IW905SP
Two bottles more than the 800-generation T18IW800SP: the T18IW905SP stores 58 in an 18-inch Freedom column and divides them between two independent zones. Thermador’s product page points out the Wenge wood diamond dowels that cradle every bottle on hidden rails, and Star-K certification covers the column.
Each zone has its own controls, so a single zone that refuses to hold temperature sends us to the sensor, fan or air route for that zone alone, not to the whole column. We check the cold zone first against the warm one with a thermometer. Full bottles make racks heavy for their rails, which is why a sticking rack should be eased out, never yanked. Fogging on the glass suggests a door that is not sealing, and missing alerts after a router change usually mean the app connection needs to be paired again.
The cooling system is clearly working, since the other zone is correct. We start with the sensor, the fan and the airflow serving the warm zone, and compare it with a thermometer.
Yes. The column is built panel-ready, so a custom panel can make it match the cabinets around it, and the hinge is designed to keep the panel flush when the door is closed.
A packed rack weighs a lot for the hidden rails. Pulling hard can damage it, so we ease it out, check the alignment of the rails and suggest a lighter load if one is needed.
