Thermador T24ID905LP
Add Thermador’s external ice and water dispenser to a 24-inch freezer column and you get the T24ID905LP. Its gross volume is 11.2 cu ft, under the 12.2 cu ft of the plain T24IF905SP, because the dispenser mechanism, the ice drawer and the plumbing claim some of it. Diamond-shaped ice falls via a wide ice drawer to a lit touch dispenser on the door, which offers three programmable presets and UltraClarityPro filtration.
Compared with a freezer column that has no dispenser, this water and ice route is the main added source of calls. Examples are a leak, a filter light that will not go out, or ice well below the rated 2.4 lb per 24 hours. A filter cartridge, or a supply line that is kinked or frozen, is often behind it rather than the ice maker module.
The freezer’s compressor and controls run apart from the dispenser electronics, so each half can be tested on its own.
The rating Thermador gives this model is 2.4 lb per 24 hours, lower than the T24IF905SP without a dispenser, since the dispenser plumbing and ice-drawer path reduce throughput on purpose.
Almost certainly not. A drip there comes from a water line or seal in the dispenser path. A refrigerant problem shows up as poor cooling, not visible moisture.
No, the display has its own electronics. See that the contents are still frozen and the door is closed; then we examine the display circuit.
