Here is a 30-inch Masterpiece wall oven with 13 cooking modes, a 4.5 cu ft cavity and a Single-Point Temperature Meat Probe, drawing 6,400W from a dedicated 240/208V, 30A circuit. Thermador still lists it on its website, so its documents and most parts remain easy to trace. For us that makes it a familiar call: an oven only a few years old that can no longer be bought new.
Home Connect is built in, so when someone tells us the oven ignores remote preheat commands, we look at Wi-Fi pairing before anything else. A router or app-pairing problem is a far more usual culprit than the control board.
The self-clean cycle, which runs for 2 hours, also drives the door lock motor. A door that will not open afterward points toward that motor or the board signalling it, and it should never be pried open. From there we check the convection fan bearings, the probe and Fast Pre-Heat behavior.
The lock holds the door shut during cleaning until the cavity has cooled enough. When it stays shut long after that, the likely suspects are the lock motor and the signal that controls it, not a passing software glitch.
Not exactly. Per Thermador's spec sheets, the ME301WS has 13 cooking modes plus a meat probe and Air Fry; the ME301YP drops to 11 modes and loses both the probe and Air Fry, even though each is a 30-inch Masterpiece single oven.
Rarely. Re-pairing the oven after a router or app change usually restores it. If the connection keeps dropping on a healthy network, we test the Wi-Fi module next.
