If E7015 appears on a current Thermador Masterpiece or Freedom induction cooktop, the unit has decided its internal electronics are too hot and has shut off the matching cooking zone. Thermador prints this code in one group with F2, F4, E8207 and E8208 and gives a single explanation for all of them, so the number alone does not say which cause is behind it. It is a protective stop, and cooking can usually continue after the cooktop cools.
1. Turn off the affected cooking zone and lift the pan off it. 2. Leave the cooktop alone for several minutes so the electronics can cool, and keep the area around the unit free of heat and clutter. 3. Touch any control element. When the message goes out, cooking can resume. 4. Note the code and how long you had been cooking before it appeared.
Thermador lists them together under one overheated-electronics message, with no separate text for each number. They are treated as the same kind of warning, but we confirm on site which one your cooktop is really reporting.
Wait until the electronics have cooled, then touch any control element. When the message disappears you can continue. If it comes back soon after, stop and book a visit rather than pushing the cooktop.
Not by itself. It is usually a heat protection, not a failure. Repeats after a long cool-down are the point where a technician should measure what is running hot.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
