E15 is the last entry in the Dreefs table for older Thermador CT and CMT ovens. It names the control board; the second page says the oven is unusable and the Dreefs board should be replaced. All heat shuts off while the microwave on combination units keeps working. The message stays on the display until the board is repaired and the oven is powered back up, so resets are unlikely to hold.
1. Turn the selector to OFF; if the alert continues, a small counterclockwise tweak should stop it. 2. If you have a combination model, test the microwave side only if it responds. 3. Leave the oven side off. 4. Switch the oven's power off at the breaker and call us to book an inspection.
The source says the microwave is not affected by this code. Only the heating side is disabled, which is why a combination oven may still reheat food while baking is unavailable.
They share the same behavior notes in the table: all heat off, microwave unaffected, message stays until repair. E10 names a checksum problem, while E15 simply calls for the board, so we test both the same way.
As soon as it suits you. The oven is not dangerous when its heat is off, but it cannot bake until repaired, and an early visit lets us quote the repair before your next meal plan.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
