On the older Thermador POD301 and POD302 built-in ovens, an E followed by a number with beeping is an error code, as described in the older Use and Care manual. The manual gives no per-number list. It says to press the plus and minus keys together to stop the beeping and clear the display, reset the oven if needed, and record the code if it stays.
1. Press + and - together to stop the beeping and clear the display. 2. Reset the oven if necessary. 3. If the code remains, write down the whole code. 4. Cancel the oven and call us with the code and the model number.
The manual says to press the plus and minus keys together. That silences the beeper and clears the display so you can see whether the code returns.
Even without a published list, the exact number helps a technician narrow down which circuit reported trouble. Record it before you reset. We read the circuit before suggesting any replacement.
If nothing returns, careful use is reasonable. If the code comes back, cancel the oven and book a visit rather than cook through it. Photos of the display are welcome when you book.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
