E22 and E24 are Thermador's documented drainage codes, and the first things to look at are easier than most people expect.
Four codes, E22, E23, E24, and E25, are listed by Thermador as drain problems. If your dishwasher stops with water still sitting in the bottom, one of these is probably on the display. Owners can safely start with three spots: the filter, the cover over the drain pump, and the hose that carries water out.
Scoop out standing water with a cup first, and wear gloves in case there is broken glass in the filter area.
In our visits, scraps caught in the filter basket turn up again and again behind these drain codes. It builds up gradually, so the dishwasher seems fine until the day water cannot get past.
When clearing the filter and straightening the hose changes nothing, the pump that moves the water out is the likelier culprit. That is the moment to book a diagnostic visit instead of restarting cycles over and over. Read about the individual codes at E22 and E24, or see our dishwasher repair page.
Scraping plates before loading, without a full rinse, keeps large pieces out of the basket. Cleaning the filter every so often also keeps cycles from leaving a film on glassware.
We confirm the price in writing before starting, and each repair is covered by our 30-day workmanship warranty.
