Every indicator on the control panel lights up or blinks at once and the dishwasher will not start. On the DWHD660EFM and other E-generation models the manual gives two readings: a software update may be installing, which can take about 30 minutes, or the electronics have detected a problem. Waiting and then resetting is the first move, and a recurring pattern means service.
1. Leave the dishwasher alone for about 30 minutes in case an update is running. 2. If it is still not ready, hold the main switch for about 4 seconds to reset it. 3. If the lights return, switch it off at the breaker or unplug it for at least 2 minutes, then power it up again. 4. If it flashes a third time, call us.
The manual says about 30 minutes, because that is how long a software update may take. If the lights are still flashing after that, hold the main switch for roughly 4 seconds to reset the machine.
Not necessarily. An update in progress looks the same as a detected electronics problem at first. Only if the pattern comes back after a reset and a 2-minute power-off does it become a service call.
The manual covers the DWHD660EFM and the E-generation, including DWHD640E and DWHD661E, whose display uses E:xx-xx. Send us your model number and we will tell you whether the same steps apply.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
