Thermador DWHD651JFM (Masterpiece Collection)
With the same 14 settings, 46 dBA rating, TurboSpeed, IntensiveZone and softener as the Professional-handle 651JFP, the 651JFM differs only in having the Masterpiece Collection’s fixed bar handle. Both sit at the head of Thermador’s discontinued J-series.
One approach covers the pair. Documented drain and inflow codes get read straight off the display. The softener is checked as maintenance. When the quick TurboSpeed program misbehaves, we narrow it to program selection and the control electronics, and leave the wash and drain hardware alone unless a code points there. That keeps the visit short and avoids replacing parts that were working fine.
Owners sometimes describe the problem as the dishwasher being broken when only one program is affected. Telling us which cycle you used narrows the visit considerably.
The design language is broadly similar across generations, but exact hardware and finish details can vary from one model year to another. If matching a replacement handle matters to you, bring the model number to the conversation.
Read the cycle-combination rules in your unit's documentation. Not every option can be paired with every cycle. Some pairings may simply be blocked by design, which would not be a problem with your machine.
Then we examine program selection and the control electronics first. If the normal cycles run and drain without trouble, the wash hardware is probably not involved.
