Thermador DWHD660EPR (Panel-Ready)
The 660EPR is the hidden-front sibling of the 660EFM and 660EFP: identical capacity, noise rating and StarDry drying, but mounted behind the cabinet panel the homeowner supplies. Kitchens built around full-height matching cabinetry are where this configuration typically ends up.
We keep two lists apart when we visit. One covers the installation and hardware side, meaning how the panel hangs and how tight the hinges are. The other covers the machine itself. If the displayed code is E2120 or E2130, we deal with the Zeolite chamber and fan on their own, since they run separately from the drain and inflow circuits. Reaching the drying chamber is no harder with a panel fitted; the panel is simply taken off first.
If the cabinet front was replaced at some point, tell us when you book. A newer, heavier panel changes how the hinges behave and is worth knowing before we arrive.
No. Getting to the chamber is identical either way. The custom panel simply has to come off first, just as it would before reaching any other internal part.
Panel changes are a frequent request, but coverage terms vary. Read your own paperwork before choosing a new front, so there are no surprises later.
Usually the panel fit, since a poorly hung door can look like a deeper problem. After that we follow whichever code the display shows. Keeping that order saves time and avoids opening up a machine that only needed an adjustment.
