Thermador DWHD660WPR (Panel-Ready)
The 660WPR is the cabinet-panel version of the discontinued W-series mid-tier dishwasher. It has the same 16 settings, 44 dBA, condensation drying and softener as the WFM and WFP versions; only the front is different.
With a unit this age, a door that will not seal usually leads us to the hardware first. We check the panel mounting and the way the door lines up, and only then consider the inside of the machine. Drain, inflow and softener problems are handled exactly as on the standard-finish models of this generation. If the panel proves fine, the code on the display takes over and sets the order of the visit.
Before we come out, it helps to know whether the door has always closed this way or only recently began to drag. A gradual change usually points at the hinges. Our repairs carry a 30-day workmanship warranty, and the price is put in writing before any work starts. If the panel has been adjusted before, tell us who did it and when.
It depends on whether the new model uses a matching panel-mounting frame size. Compare the two before assuming the old panel will drop straight on.
No. The inlet valve and its electronics are reached in the same manner whatever the front looks like, typically via the toe-kick or with the door open.
How the panel is mounted and lined up. A shifted panel hanging on an older hinge is far likelier than an internal cause. That inspection is quick and often settles the question without any disassembly.
