Thermador DWHD760CFM
Sixteen place settings, a stainless tub and a 44 dBA sound level: the DWHD760CFM belongs in a kitchen where the dishwasher runs after every dinner party and nobody wants to hear it. Its Stainless Steel panel with the Masterpiece handle sits in line with the cabinets, and the toe kick matches.
The feature that sets it apart in service terms is StarDry. Instead of leaning on a heating element alone, it uses zeolite to finish drying, so when plates and glasses come out wet the drying system is the first suspect, ahead of the rinse cycle. We also look at the drain path, the pump and the filter, because a blocked drain makes the cycle stop with water in the tub.
Thermador shows this model as no longer available and names the DWHD660EFM as its successor. A 90 1/2 inch outlet hose gives us room, but we still check the hose clamps and the air gap or high loop at the drain.
The zeolite drying stage may not be running through, or the vent may be restricted. We check the drying circuit and the vent and confirm the cycle reaches its final stage before replacing parts.
The light is a feature, not a safety item, so the wash is usually unaffected. We check the lamp and its wiring, since a failed light can also hint at a connector issue.
In most cases yes. Adjustable feet are reached from the front, so we lower the unit and slide it forward, taking care of the water, drain and power connections.
