Thermador DWHD860RPR
The panel is the thing here: the DWHD860RPR carries a custom cabinet front rather than a stainless door, so the dishwasher disappears into the cabinet run. Designers love it, and technicians keep an eye on it, because the weight of a customer’s panel is a variable the factory could not know.
If a door sags, springs are the first check. An overly heavy panel stretches the springs and puts load on the hinge, and a latch that no longer lines up can cause the unit to refuse to start. We re-balance the springs and align the panel, and if the panel is simply too heavy, we say so.
Beyond that, the machine has 14 place settings, a third rack and a short 55 1/8 inch hose. Thermador lists the model with no successor and a lower availability code. We run a cycle to check the filter, the heater and the drain pump.
The panel may be heavier than the door springs are set for. We adjust spring tension and check the hinges. If the panel exceeds the unit's limits, we explain so before work.
The latch or door switch may not engage because the panel pulls the door slightly out of line. We realign the panel and test the switch.
The PowerBeam shows on the floor when the door is closed, so it still works. If it does not, we check the LED and its connector.
