Thermador DWHD760CPR
The adjustable upper rack is a hidden feature on the DWHD760CPR, and it shows how a panel-ready design still has plenty of moving parts. Owners raise and lower the rack to fit tall glasses, and the clips and stops that hold it take a lot of repeated use.
We look first at the door, since a custom panel can pull the hinges out of line and affect the switch that tells the control the door is shut. If a cycle stops after a minute or two, a marginal door switch is a typical reason. Spring tension is adjusted to the panel in place.
The remainder is a 16-setting Sapphire: StarDry with zeolite at 44 dBA, a tool drawer as a third rack, and a 90 1/2 inch hose. Thermador shows it as no longer available and names DWHD660EPR as its successor. We test the drain pump, heater and spray arms before we close it up.
A worn height clip or a bent stop lets one side slip. We inspect the clips, replace worn ones and check the rack for bends so it sits level.
The door switch may be reading open because the panel tugs the door out of line. We realign the door and test the switch before looking at the control.
No. We service the dishwasher as installed, but we may need to remove the panel to reach the door. We handle it with care and refit it level.
