A cycle begins, little or no water seems to arrive, and E14 shows on the display. Thermador documents this code as a flow meter failure or a problem with water flowing into the dishwasher. The control counts what the meter reports during filling, and when that count does not match what it expects, it stops the cycle.
1. Make sure the dishwasher is idle, then open the cabinet under the sink and find its supply valve. 2. Confirm the valve handle is turned fully open. 3. Look at the visible stretch of inlet hose for kinks or flattening, without pulling the machine out. 4. Start a new cycle and listen for the fill sound to return.
Yes. Confirming the supply valve is fully open is a low-risk first step, and it rules out the simplest explanation before anyone suspects a failed part.
Not entirely. A kink can hide behind the toe panel or the cabinet cut-out. If the visible run and the valve are fine, a technician can check the rest.
The code describes water not arriving as expected, not water escaping. If you see any water around the unit, shut the supply off and tell us when you call.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
