F10 on a Thermador C-series oven (C271, C272, C301, C302, CM301, CM302 or CJ302) tells you the control display and the power board no longer agree with each other. The legacy service document lists it as power board incompatibility. The Care and Use manuals for these ovens use the same F-plus-two-digit wording, so a newer Thermador unit may use F10 differently. Cooking can stop until the board matter is resolved.
1. Start with the manual's own reset: touch OFF, or switch the oven off at the circuit breaker, and wait three minutes. 2. Switch the power back on and look at the display. 3. If F10 returns, write down the code and call us. Connector checks and board replacement listed in the service document are technician work, not an owner step.
Not always. The service table first says to check connections between the power/relay board and the display board. Only if those are fine does it call for replacing the power/relay board.
The source names C271, C272, C301, C302, CM301, CM302 and CJ302 ovens. Newer Thermador models can use F10 for something else, so we match the code to your model number before diagnosing.
That is the manual's own instruction for these ovens. The pause lets the control fully reset before power returns, giving a fair test of whether the code was a one-time event.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
