Err on a legacy Thermador POD built-in oven (POD301, POD302, PODC302, PODM301 or PODMW301, 'J' revision manuals) is not a breakdown. A beep sounds and the display shows Err when you enter a temperature outside the range allowed for the selected cooking mode. The oven simply will not start until you set a valid temperature.
1. Press OFF to clear the entry. 2. Choose the cooking mode again. 3. Enter a temperature inside the range allowed for that mode, checking your manual. 4. If Err shows with a valid temperature, call us with the model number.
Not by itself. The manual says it appears when the temperature is outside the allowed range for the cooking mode, and the oven will not start.
In your use-and-care manual under the cooking modes. Ranges differ by mode, so a number that works for baking may not work for another mode.
Then something else is wrong and a technician should test the control. Note the mode, the temperature, and your model. A quick note of when it happened is useful.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
