F7 is the older Thermador SC, SCD, SM and SMW oven code for a shorted or stuck key. The Care & Use manual says it appears when something presses on the control panel for more than 32 seconds, like a person leaning on it or objects hanging in front. If the panel was clear, the service note says a poor cable link makes the processor read every key as pressed.
1. Remove anything touching or hanging in front of the control panel. 2. Wipe the panel dry with a soft cloth while the oven is off. 3. Touch OFF or use the breaker to reset for 3 minutes. 4. If F7 keeps showing, write it down and call us.
Yes. The manual gives that as a cause. If someone leans on the panel, or a towel hangs across it for over 32 seconds, F7 can flash.
Per the service note, a poor cable link makes the processor switch all keys on. That is a connection problem behind the panel, not something you press.
If water or grease sits on it, yes. Clean it with the oven off and dry. If F7 still returns, book a check. The goal is a clear written answer before work starts.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
