Thermador DWHD770WPR
A black toe kick under a custom wood door is a common look in a kitchen that wants the dishwasher to vanish, and the DWHD770WPR is built for that. Its depth, 23 1/16 inches overall, is slightly less than the stainless version, which leaves room for the panel but means the door and hinge geometry differ from the 23 3/4 inch models.
Many of the calls we hear start with the door: it closes slowly, or it will not latch cleanly. We check the springs, the panel weight and the latch before moving to the electronics. If a cycle is selected but never begins, the door switch is the first target.
Inside is a 16-setting Sapphire with a tool drawer, Sanitation, StarDry and 42 dBA wash. Thermador shows this model as no longer available and names DWHD760CPR as the successor. The toe kick is refit last, after we confirm the floor light still shines.
Clips may have loosened or the kick may be out of line after the unit was moved. We refit the clips and check the feet so everything sits square.
Slow closing can mean the springs are too weak or the hinge is stiff. It can also stop the latch from seating. We adjust the springs for the panel weight.
The control may not receive the door signal, or a start condition is unmet. We test the door switch and the control inputs before replacing a board.
