If your older Thermador C, CM or CJ oven (C271 through CJ302 in the service document) flashes F11, the display board and power board have stopped talking to each other. The legacy table calls it a communication error with the power board and singles out connector P11. Because these manuals print every code as F plus two digits, newer Thermador ovens may assign F11 a different meaning, so model number matters.
1. Press OFF, or turn the oven off at its breaker, and give it three minutes. 2. Restore power and watch whether the display starts normally. 3. If F11 shows up again, record it and call us. Checking P11 and replacing the board are for our technician, not an owner step.
It is a connector between the power/relay board and the control display board, as named in the service table. We inspect it first because a loose plug is cheaper to fix than a new board.
A brief outage can upset the link, and a reset may clear it once. If F11 comes back, the connection or the board has a real problem that needs a technician.
If the oven starts and heats normally, short use is generally fine, but a repeat is a sign to stop and call us. We prefer to check before the next large meal.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
