Shortly after power-up the dishwasher halts and E0105 appears. On newer boards that count in four digits, this is Thermador's wording for the situation that older machines report as E04: during its own opening check, the heating electronics returned a reading the board refuses to accept. Loading, detergent and the door play no part in it.
1. Leave all panels closed, since this is not an owner-level test. 2. Look on the door edge for the label and copy down the model number and the FD number. 3. Record E0105 exactly as displayed. 4. Phone us with those details; Thermador treats this number as a support matter and publishes no checklist for it.
Not necessarily. The check may be rejecting the reading taken by the watching circuit rather than the element, and a meter on the board side is the way to tell them apart.
Thermador words them identically, so we regard them as one problem displayed by two generations of control board. The approach to diagnosing it does not change.
With the harness plugs, because a poor contact is the cheapest explanation and quick to rule out. Next come readings across the heater circuit, and then the board itself.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
