After a wash the detergent is still sitting in its compartment, and E6900 is displayed. Thermador documents this number as an error in the dispenser solenoid circuit. That solenoid releases the detergent at the proper moment in the cycle, and when the board tried it, the circuit did not answer. The cycle may still run, but without detergent the load will not come out properly clean.
1. Turn off the dishwasher's breaker. 2. Wait thirty seconds, then restore power. 3. Make sure the dispenser door is not stuck shut with dried detergent or pressed by a dish. 4. Run a short cycle and see whether the dispenser opens and the code stays away. If not, call us.
That is the classic sign. If the solenoid cannot open the dispenser, soap never reaches the wash, so loads come out unclean while the compartment stays full.
A tablet placed in the tub gives you a wash for the moment. It does not repair the solenoid, so the code will still appear.
It takes care, since the door holds wiring and the dispenser mechanism. We handle the dismantling and refit it, and the repair carries our 30-day workmanship warranty.
Our technician checks it in your home and hands you a written price before touching anything.
