Thermador DWHD770CFM
Wine glasses are what the DWHD770CFM is known for: a folding rack for 18 of them, and an Entertainer’s Drawer that slides out as a third rack. Everything about the unit says it is meant for hosting, from the 16 place settings to the 42 dBA wash sound.
The third rack is the part that wears. It rides on rails and carries a spray arm, so a drawer that drags or a glass that comes out cloudy usually starts at the rail, the water connection to the upper arm, or a clogged nozzle. We test water flow to every arm, then look at the filter and the drain pump.
Thermador shows this model as no longer available and names DWHD661EFM as its successor. Sanitize and Save Time options need accurate temperature sensing, and the multi-color Star Glow light is a good clue to wiring health, so we test those early in the visit.
Cloudiness often comes from water flow that does not reach the glass rack, hard water or a clogged spray arm. We check each arm, descale the tub if needed and inspect the filter.
Usually. Worn rollers or a bent rail are the common finds. We clean, realign or replace the roller set and confirm the water coupling to the drawer still seals.
It shortens the wash by using higher intensity. If dishes are not clean in that mode, we check water temperature and circulation instead of assuming the option is broken.
